Dr. Michael Clough is a Professor of Science Education at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, USA. His scholarship focuses on the history and nature of science and its implications for effectively teaching and learning science. His publications appear in Science & Education, International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education, Science Education, Journal of Science Teacher Education, Journal of Research in Science Teaching, and science teaching practitioner journals. He is a former president of the International History, Philosophy and Science Teaching (IHPST) organization, and serves as an editorial board member of Science & Education. He is the principal investigator of a National Science Foundation supported project, The Story Behind the Science: Bring science and scientists to life  that is creating short historical science stories for post-secondary introductory science courses (http://www.storybehindthescience.org).
