About this book series

“Studies in Political Economy” publishes monographs and contributed volumes in political economy, a fast-growing field that applies the logic of economics to the study of politics and governance. The book series is meant as an outlet for research on issues such as: the historical development of polities, asking how institutions are formed, and how stable they might be, how polities aggregrate the diverse opinions and beliefs of their citizens, how economies grow and develop, whether conflict can be reduced, whether technological development can be maintained, whether inequality can be reduced, with increasing inequality, whether climate change can be regulated.
