Aims and Scope: Indian Journal of Surgery

The Indian Journal of Surgery is the official publication of the Association of Surgeons of India that considers for publication articles in all fields of surgery. Issues are published bimonthly in the months of February, April, June, August, October and December.

The journal publishes Original article, Point of technique, Review article, Case report, Letter to editor, Teachers and surgeons from the past - A short (up to 500 words) bio sketch of a revered teacher or surgeon whom you hold in esteem and Images in surgery, surgical pathology, and surgical radiology. The journal provides a platform for the publication of high-quality clinical and experimental studies, thereby documenting recent advances and new developments in all fields of surgery.

The Journal is an academic initiative of the Association of Surgeons of India, which has more than 12,000 member surgeons in India alone. The main objective of the journal is to provide a platform for surgeons from India and Abroad to exchange ideas, propagate the advancement of science and art of surgery and promote friendship among surgeons in India and abroad. Over the years this Journal has been able provide a powerful platform for Surgeons in bringing-out up-to-date scientific information to the community.

Indian Journal of Surgery focuses on General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Rural Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Urology, Surgical Oncology, Radiology, Anaesthesia, Trauma Services, Minimal Access Surgery, Endocrine Surgery , GI Surgery, ENT, Colorectal Surgery, particularly about surgical practice and research. Each submitted article is reviewed by more that 500 professional surgeons from across the globe based on their surgical specialization.

The journal aims to continue its mission of being the ambassador of surgical research and innovations from India, and also serve as a platform of surgeons from across the world to share their research findings.
