Permission Requests from Authors of Medical or Scientific Articles or Book Chapters

The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) copyrights all text, tables and illustrations featured in the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual, Seventh Edition, and the AJCC Staging Atlas. Reproduction of all material must be verbatim and may not include abbreviations or alterations. Should you wish to reproduce any text, table or illustration from the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual, Seventh Edition, or the AJCC Staging Atlas in a medical or scientific journal or book, please complete the Permission Request Form. All requests will be processed in a timely manner, usually within 7-10 business days.
Please keep in mind that merely requesting permission is insufficient prior to publication of borrowed materials in a secondary source. Legal action will be taken against any parties using any AJCC materials without written permission to do so.

Permission Request Form

Permission requests are considered for reproduction of text, tables or illustrations to the authors of articles or chapters in scientific or medical journals and books. Permission is granted on a limited, non-exclusive basis for both print and electronic one-time use only, in the English language, for the life of one edition with no use in any derivative or ancillary works. No modification of the material is permitted. When your request is granted, a credit line must be included on the page where the material is printed. Reasonable permission requests will be granted routinely. All fields require completion before your form may be processed. If you have questions, please contact Richard Lansing, Editorial Director, Clinical Medicine via e-mail at richard.lansing@springer.com. A copy of the final printed material must be forwarded to Springer New York. Please see the Terms and Conditions Statement below for the full provisions of AJCC Cancer Staging Manual, Seventh Edition permission requests.
