    Aims and Scope

Devoted to disseminating new and important orthopaedic knowledge, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research® is a leading orthopaedic journal and a publication of the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons®.  We bring readers the latest clinical and basic research, as well as columns, commentaries, and interviews with authors. Generalists and specialists depend on CORR® to identify emerging trends and new approaches. With contributions from leading clinicians and researchers around the world we aim to be the premier journal providing an international perspective advancing knowledge of the musculoskeletal system.   Our bedrock of excellence is the collection of rigorously reviewed and closely edited scientific manuscripts that give our readers the best possible opportunity to practice evidence-based medicine.

CORR® publishes content of value to both generalists and specialists on all aspects of musculoskeletal research, diagnoses, and treatment. Each month in print and online we publish:

    • Original articles focusing on timely clinical issues,

    • Manuscripts highlighting the latest basic biological or engineering research on musculoskeletal diseases,

    • Symposia devoted to a single topic or a society’s meeting proceedings offering the generalist reader an overview of a field, but providing the specialist current in-depth information,

    • Columns written and edited by the thought leaders in our specialty, focused on contemporary topics including healthcare systems, patient safety, education, medicolegal issues, history, and art in medicine,

    • Editor’s Spotlight and a Take-5 interview, in which a CORR® Senior Editor highlights an article containing an important general-interest message, and goes “behind the discovery” with an author of that article,

    • CORR Insights® that provide expert commentaries on our original scientific content to provide readers with answers to the questions “Where are we now,” “Where do we need to go,” and “How do we get there” on the themes raised by the source article, and

    • Clinical Faceoff (quarterly), in which respected authorities respond to questions on controversial topics and to one another on issues that matter to surgeons and scientists.
