Dr. William T. Choctaw is a national healthcare leadership expert. He is the Executive Vice President of ML-2000, Inc., a medical legal consulting firm for medical staff executives, physician leaders, and hospitals. He has served as a member of the medical executive committee at Citrus Valley Medical Center for the last 10 consecutive years. During that time he held many medical staff positions including, Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery. He is presently Chief of Surgery Elect.
Dr. Choctaw lectures nationally on many medical legal issues for hospital medical staffs, hospital executives, and hospital managers. These issues include medical staff leadership, disruptive behavior, sexual harassment, medical malpractice, JCAHO, patient safety, and diversity in healthcare.
Dr. Choctaw is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine. He has also earned a law degree from Western University College of Law. He is a member of the clinical faculty at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Choctaw continues to practice general surgery in Covina, California.
