The New York Botanical Garden Press
The New York Botanical Garden Press has one of the largest publishing programs of any independent botanical garden in the world. Begun in 1896 the NYBG Press focuses on advances in knowledge about the classification, utilization, and conservation of plant life. It provides a means for describing the research carried out around the world by New York Botanical Garden scientists and others and presents a forum through its journals and books for primary research papers on systematic and economic botany
The New York Botanical Garden
The NYBG Press journals, co-published quarterly with Springer starting in 2008, are: the Botanical Review, Brittonia, and Economic Botany, which is issued for the Society for Economic Botany.

Current NYBG Press book series are: Advances in Economic Botany, Intermountain Flora, Flora Neotropica, Memoirs of The New York Botanical Garden, and Contributions from The New York Botanical Garden. In addition, the Press also publishes stand-alone books, including classics such as the Manual of Vascular Plants of Northeastern United States and Adjacent Canada, Second Edition.

The New York Botanical Garden, founded in 1891, is an advocate for the plant kingdom. The Garden pursues its mission through its role as a museum of living plant collections arranged in gardens and landscapes across its 250-acre National Historic Landmark site in the Bronx, NY; through its comprehensive education programs in horticulture and plant science; and through the wide-ranging research programs of the International Plant Science Center. Garden scientists have mounted nearly 2,000 expeditions to collect plants in the wild and have assembled the largest herbarium in the Western Hemisphere and the world’s largest library about plants.
