Updated Librarian Services

Our new librarian services have been designed to make it as easy as possible for librarians and their patrons to use Springer resources.

MARC Records, SpringerProtocols & eBook Title List Tool

Keeping your library catalog up to date has never been simpler thanks to our new MARC Records, SpringerProtocols & eBook title list tool. Now you can say goodbye to time-consuming updates and let the tool do the hard work for you, streamlining the process of finding and downloading MARC records and title lists for Springer ebooks and SpringerProtocols.
In a matter of moments you can search for the records you need by simply choosing the language, discipline(s) and copyright year you want. Records can be further limited by ISBN and date range to ensure that updates are specifically targeted to your individual collections. As you enter your search parameters, the tool also displays the number of records that are available for downloading. MARC records can be downloaded in MARC21 or MARCXML format and the eBook and SpringerProtocols title lists are displayed in Excel format.
Records are updated on a monthly basis to keep your catalogue as up to date as possible including any corrections to records that have been amended as a result of Springer’s ongoing metadata quality checks.

Tutorials for SpringerMaterials and SpringerProtocols

We’ve also introduced new tutorials to help you and your library patrons get the most out of Springer resources. New tutorials for SpringerMaterials and SpringerProtocols can be accessed via the Help button at www.springermaterials.com and www.springerprotocols.com respectively. The flash-animated tutorial videos are currently available in English but editions in German, Spanish, Chinese and French will be launched soon, each with English subtitles. The tutorials cover the major areas of each database including how to Browse, Search and retrieve Results plus an overview of the Administrator tool that sets out how you can access your account details, usage statistics and add/remove users.
Tutorials are currently being developed for SpringerImages and SpringerLink and will be available shortly.
