Tribute to Stephen Fienberg
Springer mourns the passing of Statistics pioneer, Stephen E. Fienberg, University Professor of Statistics and Social Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. Best known for developing and using statistical applications to influence science and public policy, Dr. Fienberg’s countless contributions include serving as a principal architect of Springer’s publishing program in the field, including his role as a founding editor of the book series:
