Brazilian Journal of Microbiology - Veterinary and Animal Production: minimum requirements to be considered for publication

Submissions not compliant with the requirements below will be rejected before peer review.

These requirements might be updated at any time, so please always check them out before your submission.

1. Studies involving plant extracts must contain basic knowledge of their composition, purification, as well as data on their cytotoxicity.

2. Gene sequences or sequence alignments must be available in open, public banks, in open individual repositories with permanent, easily accessible links. Authors may also be send them as FASTA files (or similar) along with the submitted article.

3. Articles with a local or regional focus should contain unpublished results that add to the development of veterinary microbiology.

4. Reports on isolated cases or outbreaks of infectious diseases in animals must contain, in addition to clinical and pathological data, robust evidence of agent detection or measured response, as well as other add-ons that are of interest to other researchers in the field of microbiology.
