are partnering to present a Special Issue on:

MOBILE HEALTH AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES: IMPROVING ACCESS, QUALITY & EFFECTIVENESS OF GLOBAL MENTAL HEALTH

Digital Mental Health (this opens in a new tab) – Psychiatry in Developing Countries –Transcultural Psychiatry (this opens in a new tab) – Rural Mental Health – Urban Mental Health

Primary objectives of the Special Edition are to:

  1. Provide context on importance of digital mental health care and options available (e.g., primarily mobile mental health on own or in combination with other technologies).
  2. Provide evidence-based research, care models and user-friendly approaches to care.
  3. Suggest guidelines, best practices, competencies and organizational approaches.
  4. Focus patient- and user-centered design approaches to find appropriate, sustainable care options.
  5. Provide population-level approaches which consider clinical, cultural and technological factors.
  6. Apply the most recent evidence- (i.e., original research), system- (i.e., informatics, implementation) and consensus- (i.e., guidelines, best practices) approaches to help clinicians, patients, and leaders identify options and access appropriate care options.
  7. Inform the development of systems and processes based on implementation science methods that will promote the adoption and integration of digital mental health care within international private, community and public health settings.
  8. Evaluate user (i.e., patient, clinician, other), team, and organizational factors that influence clinical workflow, training, process improvement, management, and administration to promote long-term sustainability of digital mental health care.
