Aging Clinical and Experimental Research - Call for Social Media specialist and junior Reviewers
In an effort to increase the visibility of Aging Clinical and Experimental Research in X – formely Twitter (@acer_journal (this opens in a new tab)) and to increase the inclusivity and diversity in the review process, the Editor of Aging Clinical and Experimental Research invites individuals who wish to serve in the role of Social Media specialist and/or junior Reviewer to please self-nominate here: https://forms.gle/n5HcCb89YMfc6MkC7 (this opens in a new tab) .
You should be prepared to list your name, credentials, affiliation, and areas of expertise. Individuals will also be asked to upload their curriculum vitae to document their areas of expertise.
- If you have an active X account and use it to keep up to date in your research field, you can join ACER's Social Media team.
- If you would like to gain experience in the review process, the associate editors may invite you to participate in the review process.
Social Media specialists are expected to be young researchers aged >40 in medical sciences, who have an active X (formerly Twitter) handle with >500 followers and have experience in publishing as authors or co-authors or as reviewers.
Junior Reviewers are expected to be researchers who have experience with the publication process as an author or co-author and as reviewer in one or more journals, which may or may not include Aging Clinical and Experimental Research. Junior reviewers will be asked to read an assigned paper and write a cogent and thorough critique of the manuscript, summarizing the strengths and limitations of the paper in a critical yet supportive fashion, and in a timely way.
Selection as Social media specialist or as Junior Reviewer is not guaranteed as a function of self-nomination. However, when possible, efforts will be made to provide opportunities for participation for individuals who have expertise in the appropriate areas.
