Journal of Diabetes & Metabolic Disorders - Thematic/Special Issue on Precision Medicine

Precision medicine is a newly emerging era and therapeutic strategy that focuses on identifying the most effective therapies based on unique characteristics for the right person at the right time. It is in contrast to a one-size-fits-all approach, in which disease treatment and prevention strategies are developed for general people without consideration of the diversities between individuals.

Precision medicine provides more individualized options to improve the prevention, more accurate diagnoses, safer drug prescriptions, and more effective treatments for the many diseases by integrating omics-based technologies. This thematic collection is dedicated to improving our knowledge in personalized/precision medicine and will cover a selection of current research topics, including, but not limited to the following:

Topics:

  • New technologies in precision medicine
  • System medicine in personalized medicine
  • Applications of multi-omics approaches in precision medicine
  • Application of Circulating Cell-Free Nucleic Acids in Precision Medicine as
  • Epigenomic in personalized medicine
  • Precision medicine in the future of Healthcare
