Health Information Science and Systems - Meet the Editors of Health Information Science and Systems

Professor Yanchun Zhang is currently a distinguished professor with Zhejiang Normal University and Peng Cheng Laboratory, China. He is also the Emeritus Professor at Victoria University, Australia. He is the founding Director of Centre for Applied Informatics at Victoria University.  His research interests include databases, data mining, social networking, web services and e-health / health informatics. He has published over 400 research papers in international journals and conference proceedings including ACM Transactions on Computer and Human Interaction (TOCHI), IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE), VLDBJ and ICDE conferences as well as medical journals. He authored/co-authored five monographs and edited a dozen of books in the related areas.  Dr. Zhang is a founding editor and editor-in-chief of World Wide Web Journal and Health Information Science and Systems Journal (Springer).

Dr. Siuly Siuly received the Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, in 2012. Currently, she is a Research Fellow with the Institute for Sustainable Industries & Liveable Cities, Victoria University, Australia. Her current research interests include biomedical signal processing, detection and prediction of neurological abnormality from brain signal data, EEG based brain-computeri, machine learning, big data, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and medical data mining. She already made significant contributions to the mentioned areas that have been published in top leading journals and conferences. She is currently serving as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transition on Neural Systems & Rehabilitation Engineering (TNSRE), managing editor of Health Informatics Sciences and Systems and academic editor of PLOS One. She is also an associate editor of Frontiers in Medical Technology and editorial member of Computers, Materials & Continua, Journal of Autonomous Intelligence, International Journal of Clinical & Medical Informatics, and International Epilepsy Journal. She has served on many conference organizing committees as a leading program committee chair such as Health Informatics Sciences (HIS).
