Dr. G. Nagamaniammai is a leader having 20 years of experience in Academics Corporate, Industry, Quality Assurance, Research and Development area as Head of the department with FSSC 22000:2005 lead Auditor/ ISO 22000:2018 Ver 4.0 Certification. Commercialized more than 60 products such as Rice, Millet and value-added products in Sri Varadaraja Food Exports Pvt. Ltd, Chennai. Established Quality system from Raw material to Finished Goods- Grains and value-added products by effective implementation of ISO 22000:2005, HACCP, ISO 9001:2015, NPOP, NOP, COS and AGMARK in Sri Varadaraja Food Exports Pvt. Ltd, Chennai as Head Research and Development and Quality Assurance. Commercialized 110 new products to market in the brand names of Aachi, Twinbrids, Sabash, Tanjuce and Twinkle and established 2 Production lines, 2 pilot plants and 3 model Research and Development Kitchen as Head, Research and Development at Aachi Masala Foods (P) Ltd, Chennai. Filed SEVEN patents on Nutraceutical Products and Designer Food Process Development for Specific Group of People. Published 20 research papers in National and International Journals, 41 papers in national and international conference proceedings, edited 2 International and One National Conference proceedings with ISBN number, 4 book chapters etc. Currently working on ICMR funded and consultancy projects and completed few industry-based consultancy projects by linking industries and institutes through MoUs. Organized Extension Activity among school students and Promoted Eat Right Challenge campaign of Food Safety and Standard Authority of India among school Children in offline and online mode. Organized 3 Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Processed Food Product Development to empower self-help group women of coastal districts in Tamil Nadu and 3 outreach programme to promote FSSAI initiatives among School students. Headed 7 committees and organized 10 events in varies Association activities in the Department of Food Process Engineering and Food Processing Technology in the academic institutes. Delivered Guest lectures in leading institutes and acting as Guest Editor in the International Journal of Nutrition, Pharmacology and Neurological Diseases and Journal of Food Science and Technology. Holding Life memberships in Association of Food Scientists and Technologist (India), Indian Society for Quality, Council for Promotion, Research and Trade in Traditional Foods and NGOs. I am currently working in the research areas such as Designer Food Product Development for Specific target group or individual, Technology Development for Tradition Food, Meat and Dairy Analogue, Food Process optimization and automation and Food Quality and Safety Monitoring using AI, ML and IoT. Research paper communication and publication in Plant based Protein Alternates and Food Monitoring systems using Sensors are under progress after filing patents.

Dr. P. Gurumoorthi, Associate Professor and Head (i/c), Food Process Engineering Department, School of Bioengineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chennai India. He received UG and PG degree from a College affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai between the period of 1991 and 1996. Won a Gold medal with citation in PG degree and awarded with best outgoing student. He has got Ph.D. degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore with a specialization in Food Chemistry under the Project entitled “World Legume Research Network Program” funded by The Rockefeller Research Foundation, USA between the years 2001 – 2005. Delivered technical talk in many research forums in the field of Food Chemistry, Antinutritional Factors (ANF’s) Nutraceuticals, Functional Foods, and Food Safety and Quality Management. Participated as Guest speaker, and positioned as expert member in Boards of Studies of Management in different educational institutions. Authored a chapter in the Book entitled “Feed, Food and Pharmaceutical potential of velvet bean” and published more than 20 research articles published in National and International Journals. Recognised as one of the reviewers viz., Journal of Food Composition Analysis, African Journal of Food Science and Technology, Food Research. Guided many more UG and PG project students in the field of food analysis and food chemistry, and one of the recognised research supervisors by SRM IST and has guided 2 Full Time Ph.D research scholars and guiding 3 Ph.D. scholars at present. One of the active members in Professional bodies like American Chemical Society, Indian Society for Agricultural Biochemists, Indian Science Congress, Association of Food Science and Technologists of India. Visited Mombasa, Kenya, South Africa, and Shanghai, China with reference to attend and take in the workshop International workshop on food, feed potential of Mucuna and World Congress on Food Science and Technology organized by IuFOST & CIFST, China, respectively. Awarded with travel fellowship for attending the same by DST (Department of Science and Technology), New Delhi One of the Lead Assessors as empaneled by NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) as per the standard ISO / IEC 17025 and certified technical assessor and Internal Auditor as per the international standard ISO 15189. One of the certified Trainers of Trainee (ToT) with reference “Mycotoxin analysis in food” as recognised by FSSAI, (Food Safety and Standard Authority of India), New Delhi. Recognized for his significant contribution in the field of Food Chemistry, awarded with the citation “FISAB” Fellow of Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists”. He is one of the recognised technical personnel in the field of the basic and applied knowledge of food science and Technology. Total SCOPUS citation is more than 600 and h-index is 10 and i 10 – Index is 12.
