Overview
Ionics is publishing original results in the fields of science and technology of ionic motion. This includes theoretical, experimental and practical work on electrolytes, electrode, ionic/electronic interfaces, galvanic cells for thermodynamic and kinetic studies, batteries, fuel cells, sensors and electrochromics. Fast ionic conduction in solids provides major new opportunities while systems based on liquid electrolytes also enable major technological advances.
- Publishes in the core areas of energy and environmental research
- Builds bridges between fundamental research and technological applications
- Publishes short communications (“Letters”) to allow rapid information of the scientific community about important findings, without need of extensive descriptions.
- 95% of authors who answered a survey reported that they would definitely publish or probably publish in the journal again
