Advanced Computational Modeling of Musculoskeletal System in Sports, Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation

Description:

The diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of the musculoskeletal system relies heavily on biomechanical data, which can be challenging to obtain in vivo. Fortunately, computational methods such as musculoskeletal dynamics models and finite element analysis can provide this valuable information. This special issue seeks to report the research and review articles that utilize innovative techniques, including artificial intelligence (AI), to create, optimize, or apply new models to real-world biomechanical problems in sports, orthopedics, and rehabilitation. Topics suitable for this issue include, but not limited to

the latest advancements in computational musculoskeletal and finite element modeling in biomechanics.the integration of AI technology in modeling and analysis;the use of parameterized and statistical shape models in finite element modeling and analysis, analysis of computational models using real-world or experimental data, and other innovative technologies that demonstrate the full potential of computational biomechanics in sports, orthopedics, and rehabilitation research.
