Journal of Nanoparticle Research - Call for Papers: Nanomanufacturing
The twenty-first century has ushered in the era of nanomanufacturing. Along with it comes unprecedented opportunities in nano-capabilities and a diversity of nano-enabled products, as well as strategic infrastructure, supply-chain, and distribution challenges. We expect to see the accelerated convergence of fabrication approaches, such as semiconductor synthetic biology and bioinspired assembly, across diverse technology sectors. These approaches will drive unprecedented and sustainable applications and will revolutionize nanomanufacturing. They will enable us to rapidly adapt and pivot to address a dynamic product landscape. Needed are breakthrough ideas in fundamental nanomanufacturing and translational research.
Several important research opportunities to explore are:
• Innovative nanomanufacturing methods, e.g., through bioinspired approaches
• Nanomanufacturing strategies for semiconductors, 3D heterogeneous integration, advanced wireless, & quantum systems
• AI, big data, and cyber applications in nanomanufacturing
• Sustainable additive nanomanufacturing for agriculture and biomedicine
• Future Lab-to-Market nanomanufacturing infrastructure
