Call for Papers: Advanced network security: methods and applications

Network security is a key component that enables the development of trustworthy data-driven services and applications. The collection and exchange of large volumes of data through heterogeneous network technologies can be used to support the deployment of applications in different scenarios of social life nowadays. For that reason, network security risks can affect the safety of every citizen. The development of practical mechanisms and security protocols are still a challenge given some limitations of underlying network technologies.

On this basis, this special issue aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to make potential contributions to the field of network security and privacy protection. We are open to receive submissions that illustrate research results that describe significant advances in this field.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following scope:

  • Security & Network Management
  • Internet Security & Applications
  • Privacy-preserving data analytics
  • Innovative use cases and scenarios based on sensor networks
  • Data-centric security for sensor networks
  • Network and Wireless Network Security
  • Computer security incident analysis
