Journal of Low Temperature Physics - Simon Memorial Prize 2020

Our co-Editor-in-Chief, Jukka Pekola has been awarded the Simon Memorial Prize 2020 for his outstanding achievements in quantum thermodynamics, metrology and cryogenics based on nanoscale electronic devices. The Simon Memorial Prize, in honour of Sir Francis Simon, is awarded every three years to acknowledge distinguished scientists in experimental or theoretical low temperature physics. Jukka Pekola is a full professor of quantum nanophysics at Aalto University (Finland), where he heads the PICO research group in the low temperature laboratory. He is also an elected Member of the Finnish Academy of Sciences and Letters, and the Finnish Academy of Technical Sciences.
