Journal of Family Violence - Introducing the Journal of Family Violence's Incoming Editor-in-Chief!

Renner LynetteLynette M. Renner, PhD, MSW, LICSW, is a professor of social work at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She received her PhD in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her MSW from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Renner has been on faculty at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities since 2013 and currently serves as the Director of the PhD Program and the Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Social Work.

Dr. Renner is the author or co-author of over 85 peer-reviewed publications and has served as the principal investigator on several grant awards from the National Institute of Justice, the Office of Women's Health, and the University of Minnesota's Clinical and Translational Science Institute and Office of Academic Clinical Affairs. Her research centers on intimate partner violence and child maltreatment, with a focus on mental health, parenting, resilience, and help-seeking strategies. She routinely partners with community agencies to build and evaluate programs and practices that reduce violence and strengthen collaborations among healthcare, child welfare, domestic violence, and civil legal service systems.

Dr. Renner has served on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Family Violence for the past four years. She will transition into her new role in 2023 and officially assume responsibility as Editor-in-Chief in January 2024.
