About this book
It has been suspected since more than a century that disturbed ocular blood flow (OBF) may play a role in the pathogenesis of glaucoma. Reduced OBF has been measured in glaucoma patients by numberless centres with different techniques in different tissues of the eye. And reduced OBF has been proven to be of prognostic value. Nevertheless the implementation of this knowledge into clinical practice has been very slow.
This practical book will help many ophthalmologists to better understand glaucoma. The reading of this book will not only improve patient care but also give the reader intellectual satisfaction.
Reviews
From the reviews:
"This is a concise reference on the basic science and pathophysiology of ocular blood flow as it relates to glaucomatous optic neuropathy. The purpose is to give readers a new perspective on the concepts behind glaucoma … . targeted at ophthalmologists, I think it very likely would be comprehensible for any physician with a basic medical background, as the bulk of the basic science is very well explained. … this is the only one that appears to be concise and easy to read."
