It is a practical, extensively illustrated book for the general dental practitioner, starting with the examination of the edentulous patient and progressing through the different treatments in a logical way. A range of procedures has been described in sufficient detail so that the dentist can apply the best treatment measure to the specific clinical problem. A final chapter on domiciliary treatment has been included because elderly, housebound patients often present problems such as denture retention (because of the patients’ residual ridge atrophy or insufficient muscular control).
