Aims and Scope: Journal of Shanghai University (English Edition)

Journal of Shanghai University (English Edition) is a comprehensive journal of science and technology sponsored by Shanghai University. Its aim is to serve scientific research and teaching, provide a forum for international and domestic exchange of views and new findings in natural science, and to report on the academic achievements and research strengths at Shanghai University in order to contribute to the long-term development of the University. Submissions from other institutions, inside and outside of China, are welcome.

Journal of Shanghai University became bimonthly in 2005. Published papers in the Journal are divided into five types: review articles, letters, original research articles, technical notes and abstracts of dissertations. Papers are rigorously peer-reviewed followed by a re-evaluation by the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board is committed to increasing the influence of the Journal internationally. The main topics covered are Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Information Technology, Electromechanical Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering, but Physics, Environmental and Chemical Engineering, and Biology and Life Science are also covered. The journal especially welcomes papers that solve new problems with novel methods, and also welcomes papers that treat old problems with improved methods, or solve new problems with existing methods.
