Advances in Rail Vehicular Technologies 

Due to higher requirement of high-speed train, it is necessary to develop advanced rail vehicular design & manufacture technologies, particularly in reliability, security, lightweight, comfortability and compatibility. The main objective of this Special Issue is to bring together ideas from the international research community, to present the latest developments, and to advance the fields of high-speed rail vehicle.

Intelligent Diagnosis and Maintenance 

Engineering system health monitoring has attracted increasing attention in both academic and industrial communities. Dynamical changes of engineering systems have to be captured in time for safe and reliable operations. These tasks are typically realized by using data processing algorithms with intelligent diagnostic methods. This special issue is seeking for papers on recent research and development on intelligent diagnosis and maintenance.

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering is an international peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The journal seeks to provide a forum of broad high-quality academic papers to promote rapid communication and exchange between researchers, scientists, and engineers in the field of mechanical engineering.
Due to the ever-increasing employment of robots recent years, it is necessary to develop advanced robotic technologies in manufacturing industry, particularly in robotic machining, robotic assembly, intelligent manufacturing, human-robot interaction, etc. The main objectives of this Special Issue are to bring together ideas from the international research community, to present the latest developments, and to advance robotic application in manufacturing industry.

    Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering is an international peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China. The journal seeks to provide a forum for a broad blend of high-quality academic papers in order to promote rapid communication and exchange between researchers, scientists, and engineers in the field of mechanical engineering. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles and feature articles.
