Critical Criminology is Hybrid transformative journal. By default, journal publications are paywalled and available subscription-only; authors are never asked to pay a fee at any stage of the editorial evaluation process. Following their paper's acceptance, authors may choose to publish in Open Access format to widen the reach and amplify the impact of their work. At this year's Annual Meeting of the American Society of Criminology (ASC), held during the 15th through 18th of November in Philadelphia, USA, the editors of Critical Criminology were honored for their extraordinary contributions to the field. David Brotherton, one of the journal's Editors-in-Chief, received the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award from the ASC Division on Critical Criminology & Social Justice, while Jayne Mooney, also Editor-in-Chief, collected the 2023 Saltzman Award for Contributions to Practice from the ASC Division on Feminist Criminology. The ASC's Convict Criminology outstanding article award went to Jennifer Ortiz, Critical Criminology's Book Review Editor. Heartfelt congratulations go to our superb editors, whose successes shape the excellence and amplify the impact of this outstanding journal.
