About the author
Dr M. R. C. van Dongen is a permanent member of the academic staff of the Computer ScienceDepartment of University College, Cork, Ireland. He is an active member of com.text.tex. His main research area is constraint satisfaction. He has been using LATEX since 1988. He uses LATEX and friends to produce his scientific publications, his lecture presentations, and lecture notes. He has a particular interest in integrating high-quality/ maintainable graphics in pdf documents. To this end he uses metapost and pgf/tikz. Some of his metapost work may be viewed on his website. Examples of his pgf/tikz work, including the source code, may be viewed in his book LATEX and Friends.
