LNCS - Information on Abstracting and Indexing

Volumes published as part of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series, incl. its subseries Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) and Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics (LNBI), are indexed by the following services:

  • ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index - Science (CPCI-S), included in ISI Web of Science
  • EI Engineering Index (Compendex and Inspec databases)
  • ACM Digital Library
  • dblp
  • Google Scholar
  • IO-Port
  • MathSciNet
  • Scopus
  • Zentralblatt MATH
Please note that it may take several months following publication of a new LNCS volume until papers show up on the websites or portals of the services mentioned above.
Depending on the focus of the particular indexing services, they may decide to only include selected volumes of the LNCS series.
Not being a journal, but a book series publishing primarily proceedings, LNCS is not included in ISI's Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) and hence does not have an impact factor. However, references to ISI-listed journals that are cited in LNCS papers do contribute to the respective journal’s impact factor.
LNCS full-text versions are available from our digital library SpringerLink.
