Dr. Inamuddin works in the Department of Applied Chemistry of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), India. He received his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from C.C.S. University, Meerut, India in 2002 and obtained his MPhil and PhD in Applied Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University in 2004 and 2007, respectively.
From November 2007 to December 2008, Dr. Inamuddin worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and lead a research team at the Creative Research Initiative Center for Artificial Muscles of the Hanyang University, South Korea in the field of renewable energy, especially biofuel cells. From January 2009 to August 2009, he worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center of Research Excellence in Renewable Energy of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia in the field of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells and computer fluid dynamics of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells. He has worked on various projects funded by the University Grant Commission (UGC), Govt. India and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Govt. India.
He has extensive research experience in multi-disciplinarily fields, such as Analytical Chemistry, Material Chemistry and Electrochemistry and particularly in Renewable Energy and Environment. He has published 25 research articles and 3 book chapters of international repute. Recently, he has edited the following books: “Advanced Organic-Inorganic Composites: Materials, Devices and Allied Applications” published by Nova Science Publishers, Inc. and “Ion-exchange Technology I: Theory and Materials” and "Ion-exchange Technology II: Applications" both published by Springer Netherland. He is the editor-in-chief of the journal Chemical and Environmental Research being published from India. He is the life member of Journal of Indian Chemical Society.
