Honors & Awards 

LI Tatsien (LI Daqian) is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a fellow of the Academy of Sciences for the Third World, a member of the European Academy of Sciences, a foreign member of the French Academy of Sciences and of the Portuguese Academy of Sciences. Dedicated to a close combination of basic theory with practical applications, he achieved a large number of important results on partial differential equations and published 18 monographs and textbooks. He gained the Second Prize of National Natural Sciences, the Science and Technology Progress Award of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, the Hua Loo-Keng Prize of Mathematics, the Shanghai Top Science and Technology Award and the Su Buchin Prize of Applied Mathematics etc.
