Author Workshops Across India

Springer promotes scientific publishing amongst researchers in India

Springer along with premier Universities and Institutes across India hosted a series of free workshops for scientific authors in August 2012.
The idea behind these half day workshops was to help authors to write quality manuscripts that will be attractive to SCI indexed journals. The lectures during the workshop covered topics such as how non native-English authors can overcome the language barrier, writing a title that will attract readers, abstract writing, cover letter development, publication ethics and how to handle peer review comments.
These workshops were designed to emphasize on the most important part of research, and that is your research is not complete until it is published. Publishing enables researchers to exchange ideas globally, acquire research funding as well as advance in their career.
Springer met with over 1000 research scholars, professors and scientists during this week of workshops across New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. Workshops were organized at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University North Campus in New Delhi, Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital in Mumbai, Indian Institute of Technology Madras in Chennai and Hotel Royal Orchid in Bangalore. The Springer platform was extended to researchers and professors in these Institutes to support them in accomplishing global recognition in the scientific publishing space.
We have received wonderful feedback during this week and will continue to host more workshops in the coming days.
Please contact us at divya.laul@springer.com if you wish to conduct a similar workshop at your campus.
