A Brief Introduction to BioMed Central 

BioMed Central, part of Springer Science+Business Media, is an STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher which has pioneered the open access publishing model. All original research articles published by BioMed Central are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication. BioMed Central now has over 260 open access journals, over half of which being indexed by SCI.
Currently, we are looking for a Marketing Executive to expand our business and activities in China.

Reporting Line 

Report to Business Development Manager China

Duties and Responsibilities 

Help the Business Development Manager China to take care of marketing activities and improve brand awareness for BioMed Central in China.
• Organize and implement marketing activities to raise awareness on open access and BioMed Central
• Attend and speak at academic conferences to promote Open Access and BioMed Central
• Work with local industry media for the promotion of BioMed Central in China, build and maintain the relationship with industry media
• Update and manage the Chinese content on the local marketing outlets of BioMed Central, such as Weibo and the China Gateway
• Work closely with the global marketing team and editorial team to provide marketing support for the BMC team in China

Key Competencies: 

• Excellent Chinese and English
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willing to and available for frequent business trips all over China
• Strong interest in STM publishing and open access publishing
• Service mentality

Required Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor degree or above
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in marketing, previous work experience in STM publishing or digital publishing preferred
