Associate Product Manager / Product Manager (Author Marketing)

Responsibilities:
• Address the value proposition and benefits of Springer as a trusted publishing partner
• Deal with general author communication and services for all book and journal authors, including maintaining author pages, creating newsletter, organizing author workshops, and presenting at conferences
• Execute marketing campaigns that support and facilitate successful editorial acquisitions for English-language STM (Science, Technology, and Medicine) books and journals programs in China, including the use of social media, mobile technologies, emails, and product displays
• Work closely with Director of Author Marketing, marketing teams, acquisitions editors in all subject areas and external partners to identify and execute global marketing as appropriate
Requirements:
• Degree in Marketing or related disciplines
• Minimum of three years of working experience in marketing
• Experience in living/working in a foreign country outside China
• Previous work experience in international STM publishing industry is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• First class presentation skills, fluent written and spoken English
• Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and capability of handling multiple priorities and tasks with flexibility
• High motivation with a sense of self-discipline and entrepreneurial interests
• Willingness to undergo travel within China, as well as internationally
• Proven mastery of Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
