Author of experimental and theoretical studies in nanoscale surface physics including properties of epitaxial interfaces, order-disorder phenomena in atomic monolayers, diffusion of clusters and surface-confined intermixing phenomena. Initiator of STRANSKI-KAISCHEW workshops series in Surface Science held since 1994.
