About the editors

Dr. Gino Kerkhoffs is a specialist in sports orthopedics (with special emphasis on stress fractures and muscle injuries) ankle and knee surgery. His medical practice includes the care of the musculoskeletal injuries of the athletes from the Dutch Olympic and Paralympic team, football players and various dance artists. He is the current scientific program chair for the ESSKA congress, secretary general for ESSKA-AFAS and the past chair of the ESSKA sports committee. His present affiliation is Associate Professor of Orthopedic surgery at the Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Dr. Elvire Servien is a specialist in sports orthopedics, knee and shoulder surgery. She is involved in many sports related projects including medical practice in the Lyon FIFA center of excellence, medical care for the Lyon female football team and Rugby team, as well as a number of other athletes. She is the current chair of the ESSKA sports committee. Her present affiliation is Professor of Orthopedic surgery at the Groupement Hospitalier Lyon-Nord, Centre Albert Trillat, Lyon, France.
