About the author

PETER WEIBEL, numerous professorships; 1992–95 artistic director of the Ars Electronica, Linz. 1993–99 Austrian commissary for the Biennale, Venice, and artistic director of the Neue Galerie in the Landesmuseum Joanneum, Graz. Since 1999 chairman of the ZKM, Karlsruhe, Deutschland.
