Reviews
Materialen & Processen, March/April 2002
`...a real pleasure to receive and review a textbook of the type written by Professor Jaap Schijve, which approaches the field of fatigue of structures and materials from a different perspective to that usually adopted. His book embraces and summarises a large body of knowledge in a way that remains useful for established researchers and practitioners of fatigue design, but also is suitable to provide a comprehensive introduction to undergraduate and postgraduate students. In my view, this book forms a useful addition to the body of literature dealing with fatigue of materials and structures, and I recommend it to the readership of the journal, and to their present and future generations of students.'
