The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging

X-Ray Imaging, Intravascular Imaging, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Publishing model:

Overview

The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging focuses on the study of cardiovascular diseases through various imaging methods.

  • Publishes research and clinical communications dealing with design, development, and evaluation of imaging methods and their clinical research applications.
  • Covers a range of imaging modalities such as MRI, MSCT, X-ray imaging, Intravascular Imaging, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography.
  • Provides a platform for validations of new or existing approaches, proof-of-concept of new innovations, risk stratification and prognostification, imaging utilization, including cost-effectiveness studies, applications for better characterization of the presence and extent of cardiovascular diseases, assessment of the efficacy of new drugs and interventional devices, multi-modality registrations, etc.

This is a transformative journal, you may have access to funding.

  • CALL FOR PAPERS: Noninvasive and Invasive Vascular Imaging in the End-Stage Renal Disease Population

We are planning a special issue on "Noninvasive and Invasive Vascular Imaging in the End-Stage Renal Disease Population". This will encompass the broad aspects of noninvasive and invasive vascular imaging in the end-stage renal disease population, including a variety of invited high-quality, multidisciplinary articles. These articles will be written by national and international experts from different specialties, including nephrology, vascular surgery, and interventional radiology, as these specialties are primarily involved in the care of this complex patient population.

The deadline for submission of all articles for this special issue is 7/31/2024.

Please submit your contribution via our online submission system by selecting the appropriate article type, “Original article” or “Review article”.
During the submission procedure you will be able to indicate that your article should be considered for the special issue “Noninvasive and Invasive Vascular Imaging in the End-Stage Renal Disease Population”. Please also see the submission guidelines.
Submitted manuscripts will undergo regular peer review process.

  • CALL FOR PAPERS: Cutting Edge Cardiovascular CT

Cardiovascular CT has evolved rapidly in the last two decades, now well established as a first-line imaging modality in several cardiovascular diseases. Technological advances in cardiovascular CT and MRI have happened at an astounding pace, with several already incorporated in clinical practice. Cutting edge techniques such as photon counting CT, spectral CT, artificial intelligence, radiomics, flow stimulations, 3D printing, extended reality, plaque and myocardial characterization have improved visualization of structures and provided novel insights into pathophysiology and biomarkers. Knowledge of these cutting-edge techniques is important for a cardiovascular imager to determine the optimal imaging technique for cardiovascular diseases and guide management.

We are planning a Topical Collection on Cutting Edge cardiovascular CT, both review and original research articles under the leadership of guest editor Prabhakar Shantha Rajiah. We invite cardiovascular imagers to submit high quality original research articles for this issue.

Please submit your contribution via our online submission system by selecting the appropriate article type, “Original article” or “Review article”.
During the submission procedure you will be able to indicate that your article belongs to the special issue “Cutting edge cardiovascular CT”. Please also see the submission guidelines.
Submitted manuscripts will undergo regular peer review process.
